ABOUT DAVID
18 years turning complex enterprise systems into results.
David spent his career implementing technology at the highest levels with eBay, Accenture, and Salesforce. He founded Kalala because that same caliber of execution shouldn't require an enterprise budget.
THE BACKGROUND
He's been in the room where enterprise technology gets built and sold.
For 18 years, David worked at the intersection of complex technology and real business outcomes. He didn't just learn how enterprise systems work - he learned why they fail, and what it actually takes to get them to stick.
That experience lives inside every KLOE engagement.

WHAT DAVID BELIEVES
Three things David will tell you whether you ask or not.
The knowledge already exists in most businesses, it's trapped in people's heads, scattered across files, and undiscoverable at the moment someone needs it. That's not a people problem. It's an infrastructure problem. And infrastructure can be built.
Everyone is chasing the newest model. David isn't. He's focused on the foundation, the structured, curated data underneath that makes AI useful. A great model on a bad foundation gives you bad answers. A good model on a great foundation gives you your business back.
David has seen what happens when businesses hand their intelligence over to a platform they don't own. When the platform changes, the business loses everything it built. Kalala builds on a portable foundation so that never happens. You own the asset. Full stop.
"I watched too many small and mid-sized businesses get priced out of the same caliber of execution I was delivering every day. Enterprise-grade technology work shouldn't be reserved for enterprise budgets."
— DAVID, FOUNDER · KALALA CONSULTINGOUTSIDE THE WORK
Husband. Father. Weekend T-ball coach. Better than average golfer.
David measures success in reclaimed family time. He built Kalala so SMB owners could have more of it and so he could too.
He lives in Delray Beach with his wife Maria and their two boys. If you catch him on a weekend, he's either on a baseball diamond or working on his golf game.
THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME
His nickname was always "the wanderer."
Throughout his career David moved — new cities, new clients, new problems. On a President's Club trip to Hawaii with his now-wife Maria, he wandered into a small shop and found himself petting a golden retriever. He asked the owner the dog's name.
"Kalala," she said. It means "to wander."
"People right now are wandering in AI. They have no idea what to do or who to trust. Kalala is the guide — the place where the wandering ends."
— David Rubin, Kalala Consulting.
